University of Guelph-Humber students in any year are welcome to participate in one of the following Industry tours during Fall Reading Week. You must find your own transportation to and from each site, with the excption of Nova's Ark. You may register for only one session. Each site is capped at 20 or 25 students, so please only register if you will to attend. A Career Services Coordinator will be in touch via email a week prior to the event to confirm attendance and details. Please only provide your @guelphhumber.ca email address.

William Osler Health System/Etobicoke General Hospital: Join us at William Osler – Etobicoke General Hospital where we will embark on a tour of the Women’s and Children program with stops to see the Child Life Department, Pediatrics, and the Clinical Centre for Excellence.

TIFF Bell Lightbox: Tour the beautiful and vibrant TIFF Bell Lightbox and chat with professionals who bring together some of the busiest annual festivals, including the Toronto International Film Festival.

Spin Master Toys: Visit the Headquarters for the toy company that produces brands such as; Meccano, Hatchimals, AirHogs, and Etch A Sketch. Learn about Business opportunities and network with company representatives. Career prospects include marketing, design, finance, and business operations. Come be part of the cutting edge of the toy industry!

Erinoak Kids Centre for Treatment and Development: Tour one of Erinoak Kids' three new facilities for Children with varying abilities. This location in Mississauga opened April 2018, and offers a wide range of therapies including; occupational, physical, speech and behavioural, along with programs for feeding, and socialization. Come join us for a look behind the scenes.

Nova's Ark: Nova’s ark is a unique experience! It is 10 acres of a beautiful wooded area in Whitby. Their program supports children 6 – 21 years by working with the individual guest through hands-on and up-close work with Animals. Nova’s ark’s has over 120 different species for guests to explore and care for. Such as capybara, camels, goats, pigs, guinea pigs, and large cats just to name a few. Come on this adventure to see how social skills are friendships are fostered.

TD Trading: Visit the TD Trading flooor to experience what a day looks like at one of the world's banking hubs, with one of Canada's biggest banking retailers and get some insight into career options in the banking industry.

Career & Placement Services connects employers and partners with students for course-related placements and internships. Events are held throughout the year to provide students with the opportunity to network with employers and learn what it takes to be successful in their chosen career. Staff also assist students with resume writing, interview skills and graduate school planning to support their plans for summer, part-time or full-time work, as well a plan for further education.
